Soaking in the Solar Experience

Life at Solar Turbines
Has been a surprise for sure.
I signed up for a job,
But I have gotten so much more.

Solar is like a family
And not the cliché kind.
Each team member has a welcome voice.
We respect job and mind.

Great care is taken daily
To work safely yet with pace,
All the while best-in-class quality
Is something we must chase.

But what separates us most
Is the culture: we live to serve.
Each employee and their leader
Understands this without swerve.

But enough about the company
I’ve quickly made my home.
As you know, this isn’t my first stop.
I’ve taken time to roam.

My professional meandering
Has built up nimble skills.
And in-role at Solar Turbines
I use them to “pay the bills”.

I’ve never been so confident
In my role and my team.
Despite ample work assignments
I feel I’m living the dream.

So it seems I’ve come full circle
Home in Ops with hopes to stay,
But the winding walk that brought me here?
I’d do it no other way.
